Ex-Celtic champions describe a condition for Knicks to demolish Boston for ECF Spot

After crushing a six -game victory over Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks are now confronted with a high task in the second round: a match against the reigning champion Boston CelticsA team that failed to beat the four meetings of the regular season.

But the former Celtics champion, Kendrick Perkins, believes that New York has a real shot, provided that Karl-Anshony Towns appears greatly.

The cities had an updated series against Detroit. At the four New York wins, he won 22.8 points and 10.8 rebounds while shot by 53%. In his two losses, however, he managed only 13.5 ppg and 8.5 RP in 33% shot.

“We know what Jalen Brunson will bring to the table,” said Perkins on Friday. “Knicks have a legitimate shot to get out of there and overcome the Boston Celtics if Karl-Anshony Towns decides to be in business.

“Because what I just saw in this last series, which will not cut the mustard. This will not cut it.”

Perkins added that if cities simply meet their seasonal averages, they could change the series in favor of New York. The cities were average of 24.4 ppg and 12.8 rpg in 72 regular season games.

“I strongly believe that it is the most important piece and the most important player in this series,” added Perkins. “I should get out of there and want to dominate against Kristaps Porzingis. If I could do it, I think the Knicks take it out.”

In the four losses of the regular season in Boston, the Knicks surpassed an average of 23, 27, 13 and two points, respectively.

Kendrick Perkins sees Knick's opportunity, calls the “vulnerable” Celtics because of persistent injuries

The Celtics passed ahead of Orlando magic in five games to open the playoffs, but were not at the force, with the force, with Jayson tatum and Nursing injuries by Jrue Holiday. Kendrick Perkins believes that these problems could be more expensive against New York.

“Celtics are vulnerable right now due to injuries,” he said. “We do not know what happens to Jrue Holiday. Obviously not healthy. Jayson Tatum (is) treating the wrist injury, but he continues to make a ball. And then you have Jaylen Brown with the knee problem.

“Perfect opportunity for the New York Knicks.”

The Knicks have not been completely healthy either, both Jalen Brunson And Josh Hart adjusted the ankles during the post -season, but so far they have remained active.

Game 1 of the Knicks-Celtics series comes out on Sunday.
