Caitlin Clark had one of his worst games this season during the loss of 88-77 of the Indiana Fever against the Valkyries of Golden State on Friday. Tac recorded only 11 points and committed six changes. Shot a 3-for-14, including 0 by 7 of the 3-point range. The fever left a 13 -point advantage and finally lost another game they controlled for most of the night.
Golden State had the kind of depth of guard to face Clark's speed and ability to release. Following the game, Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase revealed that it was Clark's plan, saying that he knew that the fever star “did not like” physical.
“We were being disruptive, we know he does not like physical. And we know he wants to return to the left pasta … I saw her in Iowa. He loves that he went out (step by step).”
Fever Fans were not happy with Nakase's comments. They felt that Clark's shortcomings were some of his own offenses instead of the planning of the Valkyries game. It was true to some extent, considering that no WNBA team is adopting an alternative approach to Clark's protection, apart from its face.
Here are some of the reactions to the Valkyries coach's statement:
While fever fans were questioning what happened to Caitlin Clark on Friday against the Valkyries, the new year's Novio did not seemed annoyed by his non-show. Clark agreed that he will not have a perfect game at each departure this season. It is something that she was not willing to accept in her novice season, but Clark is open to giving it more grace.
“It's a 44 -game season, I'm not going to play perfect for 44 games,” Clark he said Saturday.
“I think this is where I was really run over last year sometimes … I didn't play very well Golden State, and for myself, how, I wasn't defeated after the game. I was upset by the way my team acted?
Clark struggles against Valkkyries can be fought until a night of departure to the first leaving of the fever on a three -game trip by road. Prior to this game, he produced monster efforts against freedom and the sun in consecutive outings, when 32 and 20 points fell, respectively, in efficient shooting divisions.
Caitlin Clark will wait to bounce against the donkeys fighting on Sunday in his first game against MVP's rival, A'ja Wilson.
