Fever's fans react after discovering Caitlin Clark's first coach Christie Side, Canadian staff for Ameri Cup


Indiana fever fans reacted online after seeing Christie the sides during the American on Saturday. The sides was Caitlin ClarkThe first WNBA coach before being replaced by Stephanie White at the end of the 2024 season.

Following the departure of Indiana, Sides joined the National Canada national team as an assistant coach and was discovered by fans during the American semifinals. The Canadian team lost 65-53 to the USA, and left their hopes to win the trophy.

On Saturday, an X fan (before Twitter) saw the sides for the first time on the live chairlift and wondered if it was her.

“Christie is on the screen,” he wrote.

Later he went back with a clip of sides on the Canadian bench, as fever fans left their reactions.

“Man, I missed him. He looks good,” they make a fan he said.

“I tried to find out why this woman looked so familiar!” he said.

Although many fever fans were nostalgic by looking at their former coach, some of them were not too pleased to see it.

Despite the mixed reactions of the fans, Christie Sides is a respected figure in Indiana. She served as an assistant coach for fever between 2017 and 2019 before returning as the main coach in 2023. Before its departure, the sides also directed the fever to their first Playoff appearance since 2016.
