Former WWE star finally arrives in Tony Khan's promotion; challenge of the problems

A former WWE name just made his debut in Tony Khan's company tonight. On their first night, they have already launched a challenge for their first promotion game.

Zayda Steel has been linked to TK following his decision not to renew his contract with the Stamford-based promotion. She was a major figure in WWE ID, as she was even one of the women competing to become the EVOLVE Women's Champion. But as of a few months ago, he's now a free agent and looking for his next big move.

During this week's episode of Ring of Honor TV, the 22-year-old made her debut and challenged Leila Gray to a match. She was interested in sharing the ring with Grey, and the latter obliged. Leila then warned him that when they share the ring, it won't be so nice. The date of his match has not yet been made official.

The former WWE Superstar is currently not signed to AEW

Despite being linked to Tony Khan and All Elite Wrestling, there is still no confirmation on Zayda Steel officially signing with the company. Last month it was reported that the company had shown interest in her and made contact as early as October.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select informed that, since last week, there has been no motion in this regard. But the Real Deal, along with Hyan and Maya World, have made good impressions on the company.

Zayda Steel's ROH debut may be proof that things are progressing. It looks like he can focus on Ring of Honor and get some matches and build up before he gets to AEW. He might just be the right talent that the ROH roster needs and someone who could make waves there.
