The 2025 Charlotte Invitational kicks off a series of exhibition events in the United States that will conclude next week. It will take place on Thursday, December 4, and will be followed by A Racquet at the Rock in New Jersey on December 7, and the Miami Invitational and the Garden Cup on December 8.
Returning to the Charlotte Invitational, four of the most recognizable names in the sport, especially in the United States, will headline this year's extravaganza in the Queen City. On that note, here's everything you need to know about the upcoming exhibition in Charlotte:
Thanks for sending!
Seven-time Major champion Venus Williams leads the field in this year's edition. Williams had a memorable season, both on and off the court. He returned to the Citi DC Open and beat top 40 player Peyton Stearns in the first round. She also made the round of 16 at the US Open in doubles with Leylah Fernandez. The former world No. 1 managed it too committed to the actor Andrea Preti.
Williams will face the reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys. The latter is back in the top 10 this year, thanks to her triumph in Melbourne. He also won the Adelaide International and reached the quarter-finals of the French Open.
number 6 in the world Taylor Fritz and former top 10 player Frances Tiafoe will square off in the men's singles match. The former won two titles this year and reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon, while the latter's best results were a quarter-final at the French Open and a runner-up finish in Houston.
Keys and Tiafoe also graced Charlotte with their presence last year, alongside Carlos Alcaraz and Sloane Stephens. Fritz and Williams will return to town after a while. The 45-year-old won the Charleston Open in 2004 and will aim to channel that feeling once again to beat Keys.
Both singles matches will take place on Thursday, December 4 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Proceedings will begin at 7:00 PM ET (4:00 PM PT). Viewers can tune in to the Tennis Channel, Telemundo Charlotte and WSOC-TV to watch the matches.
Single tickets start at $54 and go up to $212 for the best seats. Resale tickets are available for over $300. Fans can opt for ticket packages, which offer discounts. All prices do not include tax. Tickets for the event can be used here.
