A 17-year-old girl who claims to have been exposed to horrific images and pornographic images, shot and head-butted at a school has agreed with the author.
Flossie McShea, from Devon, says she too has received threatening messages while at school, as she puts her name on a screening for banned mobile phones in schools across England.

Videos were going around all the time, “McShea remembers his time in the second school from year 7 onwards. “My parents were strict at home but at school it would usually be a video or show you a screen.
“At my school it had 'see, hear,' but really it's something we only use under the desk, in the toilets, during recess, even the teachers stop us.
“One of the things that touched me the most was a video of two young kids playing with a gun. One accidentally shot and brought me a phone. I still think about that video three years later.
Katie Moore, 43, a mother-of-three from the North has been reunited with her 18-year-old daughter, and has been exposed to magnetism, which has kept her from searching.
“I only found out years later – he's already 13 and he doesn't think he can tell me because he doesn't want to get in trouble and he knows I'm going to take his phone away from him,” she said. “As a mother I can try to protect my children at home, but they still go to school and they are known to be very clear things, there is nothing that cannot happen to our children during the school day.”

The representative says there is enough evidence that the Smartphone policy that is accepted in the government's guidelines, and is implemented by 79% of secondary schools, is not working. They point out the various safety activities that are available throughout the school day and on the way to school.
