Haiti will meet Costa Rica at the Ergilio Hato Stadium in the third round of the Rankings for the 2026 FIFA World Cup (CONCACAF) on Thursday. Both teams have won one of their four matches in the current round. The hosts beat Honduras by three points, and the visitors by two. Hence, this is a must-win game for both teams.
The Grenadiers suffered their first defeat of the third qualifying round last month as they lost 3-0 at home to Honduras. They went goalless for the second time and also conceded three goals for the second leg of the tie.
The Ticos have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the third round and recorded their first win of the campaign last month, defeating Nicaragua 4-1 at home. Alonso Martínez scored a first-half brace, while Manfred Ugalde and Francisco Calvo added goals after the break.
Red and Blue they have been in poor form recently, winning just one of their last eight games in all competitions. They failed to score in their only home game of the qualifiers in September and will be looking to improve on that record.
In Sele they are unbeaten in World Cup qualifiers since 2021. They have scored eight goals in four games so far and will look to build on that scoring form here.
The visitors are unbeaten in FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the grenadiers, and given their current form, we're backing them to record a narrow win.
