HC Craig Berube unveils his feelings in the injury of the captain of ex-maple leaves

Toronto Maple Leafs coach Craig Berube spoke of John Tavares' injury, which is now in wound reserve (IR) with a lower body problem. Tavares was placed in IR after falling on Wednesday.

“The leaves of maple f John Tavares have been placed in IR (Lower Corps). F Fraser Minten has been remembered from the Toronto Marlies (AHL),” said Leafs PR this Thursday.

They made a tracking tweet on their status.

“F John Tavares appears as a week after week,” Leafs PR wrote.

Tavares has been a key player for the Maple leaves This season, scoring 20 goals and 22 attendance in 44 games. He has been important in victories, contributing 34 points in 26 wins. His absence will be heard, but Berube believes that the team must move forward.

“Yes, they announced the week a week right now,” Berube said on Thursday before the New Jersey Devils game (08:28). “So yes, it's unfortunate in practice, you know, it's only bad luck. But you know, it's what it is, and we have to happen right now.”

Berube also discussed the performance of Tavares this season.

“Well, everything,” Berube said. “I mean, I think you see his production and what he has done and his leadership, and, you know, he has been virtually a boy of everything, and he has done a good job for us.”

The Toronto Maple Leafs have a record of 27-16-2 and first in the Atlantic Division with 56 points.

Craig Berube talked about the strategy in the absence of John Tavares

Craig Berube talked about how the leaves responded well when Auston Matthews was injured before the season. He hopes that the team can continue to play a strong team game.

“We have to fulfill the program (Reliying where to check) here,” Berube said.

Berube added that Max Domi would take the Tavares site in the top six. Domi has played with William Nylander before and can mean offense.

“I think Max Domi right now, happens there in this place,” Berube said. “I used it before with Nylander. So, for me, it is a guy that can rise -to provide some offense and game skills. So we will need it.”

Although John Tavares's injury is a great mishap for Toronto, the team hopes to keep it competitive while recovering. The leaves have lost their last three games. They will try to bounce back New Jersey Devils to Scotiabank Arena on Thursday.
