“He should be allowed to shoot people”

WNBA fans were alarmed after another alleged stalking incident Caitlin Clark. The Indiana Fever star was in Durham, North Carolina, along with other WNBA stars for Team USA’s training camp. Clark had a notorious stalker who was sentenced to prison earlier this year.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, a fan with the username @lunasf4vs shared a TikTok screenshot of another fan claiming there was a stalker Clark in Durham. The alleged harasser was at the team hotel, though there is no official report of the incident.

Clark had a security detail before entering Day 3 of training camp, but that’s likely standard procedure. She’s arguably the most popular player in the WNBA today, and she has a history of being a stalker, so better safe than sorry.

WNBA fans reacted to the alleged harassment incident on social media, with many showing concern and anger. Caitlin Clark just returned to the court after spending most of last season on the sidelines with multiple muscle-related injuries that limited her to just 13 games.

Here are some of the comments about X.

He should be allowed to shoot people.

The bully is in jail. So probably another one…how sad. 😭

There’s probably more than 1 chasing him

CC has a lot of stalkers, she just wanted to play, she’s 23 and wants to have fun and do what a 23 does, but that’s all she says she loves sleeping than going out. 😔

Noooo!!😢 why can’t everyone just leave her alone? Shit is out of hand!!

if this is true… he is in a test of his dream of making the national team and this happens? Please can we start taking women’s safety seriously

Caitlin Clark has a chance to represent the United States if she is selected to be on next year’s roster for the 2026 FIBA World Cup. Clark was a surprising omission from last year’s Olympics, with many of her fans and basketball analysts furious that it was a missed opportunity to promote women’s basketball overseas.

Other top stars at training camp include Paige Bueckers, Angel ReeseAliyah Boston, Sonia Citron, JuJu Watkins and Lauren Betts.

Caitlin Clark’s stalker was sentenced to prison in July

In the midst of the 2024 WNBA season, Caitlin Clark had to endure harassment from a bully before authorities intervened. Clark was threatened by a 55-year-old Texas man who was eventually arrested at an Indianapolis hotel in January, ESPN reports.

The man sent hundreds of messages to Clark, who had to hire a security team to keep him safe. According to reports, the stalker believed he was in a two-year relationship with the basketball star, and some of the texts were sexually aggressive.

Six months after the man’s arrest, he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison. The judge also recommended a psychiatric evaluation for the stalker, who claimed the world was ending during his sentence.

Clark wasn’t the first WNBA player to have a stalker arrested either. Paige Bueckers was briefly terrorized by an Oregon man last year before being given a one-year suspended sentence and three years of probation.
