“I was desperate to return to work with Shreyas”


Punjab Kings (PBKS), Ricky Ponting, said he had a lot of desire to work with the Shreyas Iyer Franchise pattern for IPL 2025. Describing the Indian whisk as a great human being, the Australian legend added that Shreyas has already had an impact as a leader, although he joined the camp only a couple of days ago.

“ He is a fantastic human. He is a winner of the IPL.You could not ask much more. He has only joined the camp a couple of days ago. So he begins to make his imprint on the team as a captain and as a leader. We have put a great workforce. As you know, the relationship of captain-training in any team is vital.And we have had a good firm here, ''

Punjab Kings will open his IPL 2025 campaign with a match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 25.
