Bruce Willis's family has often expressed his love and support for him, as they were diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, which according to reports interfere with their linguistic expression and understanding. Bruce's daughter, Rumer Willis, shared an emotional Instagram publication on June 16, 2025, for Father's Day. She wrote:
“I will be grateful for every moment I have with you. I love you very much Father's Day Day of Father. Submitting love to all those who are on the boat with me or have lost their parents, to single mothers who are also the parents, to my future father …”

Rumer Willis's publication reflected his father's continued battle with frontotemporal dementia as he wrote:
