The men in blue batted first after winning the toss and scored 270-4 in 50 overs. India won the match by 91 runs as Kenya were bowled out for 179 in 46.2 overs.

Opening the innings, Rohit batted for 223 minutes, hitting 14 fours and three sixes. He added 75 for the first wicket with Shikhar Dhawan (30 off 50) and 122 for the fourth wicket with Suresh Raina (65 off 57). Rohit's knock ended when he was bowled by Taskin Ahmed with a full, inswinging delivery.
