A CIA document, declassified in 2017, recently circulated online claiming that there was life on Mars. The report titled Exploration of Mars May 22, 1984described how the agency used a concept in which an individual was psychologically transported to the red planet while still physically remaining on Earth, according to Times Now.
This was called astral projection, in which a person's spirit was supposedly made to travel through the astral plane (related to the stars). The individual was reportedly sent around one million years BC and was apparently given different geographic coordinates to explore on Mars. Whether astral projection was real has not yet been scientifically proven.
According to the declassified CIA document, Astral Projection was part of Project Stargate (overseen by the Defense Intelligence Agency or DIA). According to Times Now, the initiative was aimed at uncovering information about the Soviet Union during the Cold War and exploring the potential use of psychic phenomena in military and intelligence operations.
However, so far, there is no direct scientific evidence that life has ever existed on Mars. Space exploration agencies such as NASA have continued their research on the same.
In the 1980s, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) decided to use Project Stargate to train human subjects to do “remote viewing” as part of its goal of gathering information about global affairs.
According to the Popular Mechanics website, remote viewing can be defined as:
“A type of extrasensory perception that involves using the mind to 'see' or manipulate distant objects, people, events, or other information that is hidden from physical vision.”
The Stargate project also used other mind-reading techniques such as telepathy and psychokinesis, paranormal phenomena in the military, and espionage.
According to the declassified CIA report, “remote viewing” was also used for the “exploration of Mars on May 22, 1984,” also to uncover the mysteries of the red planet. He mentions one human subject in particular who was apparently exposed to binaural beats and hemi-synchronized audio that allowed them to psychologically transport themselves to Mars in enhanced altered states of consciousness. psychic capabilities
The individual who apparently went to Mars with mental capacity reported witnessing an oblique vision of a yellowish, okra-colored “pyramid or pyramid shape,” along with monuments found in ancient Egypt, “severe clouds,” “very big road” and “a perception of a shadow of people”.
“I just keep seeing really old people. They look thin and tall, but they're really big. Uh… in some kind of weird clothes,” the subject claimed to see.
These “very old people” were reportedly looking for “a new place to live because their environment had become corrupted.” Mars was also described as hostile, where supposed fierce storms forced the supposed natives to take refuge in these pyramids, which were also used for hibernation and survival.
The experiment also revealed that Martians used vessels like “big ships” to leave their home and find “volatile, vegetation-rich lands.” The study also seemed to assume that Mars' decay reflected Earth's fragile and unpredictable future.
Project Stargate was conducted at Fort Meade in Maryland from 1977 to 1995. Humans with extrasensory perception were hired to help gather national and international intelligence. In addition to the exploration of Mars, it also helped locate hostages taken by the militants track fugitives.
In the mid-1990s, some researchers assumed that Project Stargate was not useful, convincing, or successful in gathering information. For example, Ray Hyman noted that while certain observations were “convincing,” remote viewing was not real, according to British media company UNILAD.
However, he added that:
“Contemporary findings coupled with the exit of the (Stargate) program seem to indicate that something beyond the odd statistical hiccup is going on.”
At that time, the DIA and CIA began declassifying all documents and reports associated with Project Stargate, including Exploration of Mars May 22, 1984. This was done so that the company's scientific credibility could later be externally reviewed.
Although direct evidence of life on Mars is still under investigation, meltwater beneath Martian ice could support microbial life, according to an October 2024 NASA report.
