Is Justin Fields playing tonight? Exploring the Jets QB plan for Week 11 TNF vs. Patriots

The New York Jets made a significant move in the offseason, trading Aaron Rodgers and signing Justin Fields as a replacement.

However, the former first-round pick has struggled in recent weeks, falling short of 100 yards passing in three of his last four games. There has been speculation that the Jets could consider benching Fields in the coming weeks.

Will Justin Fields start against the Jets in TNF?

Justin Fields was put on the bench New York Jets' Week 7 loss to the Carolina Panthers, which raised concerns about his QB1 job. However, he has started two games since then and will start again on Thursday against the New England Patriots, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.

“Everything I've been told this week indicates that Justin Fields, who has started those two games, will get another start Thursday night against the Patriots because the team wouldn't want to make such a big change in a short week,” Graziano wrote Wednesday.

Fields has completed 63.5 percent of his passes for 1,143 yards, six scores and one pick in eight games. While the stats are decent, he has recorded the fewest passing yards of any starting quarterback who has played in at least eight games this season.

How to watch New York Jets vs. New England Patriots on TNF?

The New York Jets have won their last two games after going winless through the first seven weeks of the season. On Thursday, they will try to complete their first three-game winning streak in more than two years when they take on the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

The Jets have momentum, but will face the Patriots, who have won seven games in a row. They are arguably the most in-form team in the NFL.
