As usual with world defense cases, there is a large police presence outside the West Koweon District Court.
It’s about two hours from hearing the first sympathetic voice, and there are security guards in clear and uniform everywhere, and a big pack. Less common than I’ve seen in the past, though, is the line for the general public.
Lai’s day gave evidence, and the main days of other cases such as za Hong Kong 47, they have drawn people from many people who want to attend. But today there are less than 100. At least half of them were here last night, when I came around 10pm.
