He also apologized for missing the game, writing,

“I’ll have a lot more to say about what happened yesterday. There’s almost nothing on earth that would have made me miss this game. To all the people who actually reached out to me and checked on me, I can’t thank you enough.”

“To ESPN, Pat, Coach, Desmond and the entire GameDay crew, I apologize that it was out of my control. To the Aggies and A&M fan base I am sorry. I will continue to let everyone run with a false narrative and in the end, perception always wins over reality.”

“I love all of you who truly support me through thick and thin as you have for years. I have no doubt that Texas A&M and the Aggie football program will be in this position again. I am on the mend and feel like a 3/10 will rest and try to get back to normal.”

Johnny Manziel’s Texas A&M Aggies were eliminated from the College Football Playoffs

The Texas A&M Aggies The monumental season ended in the first round of the College Football Playoffs. They lost 10-3 to the Miami Hurricanes and will now begin the offseason.

The Aggies started the season on an 11-game winning streak. Some of those wins included wins over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Florida Gators, LSU Tigers and Missouri Tigers. Mike Elko has Aggies fans dreaming of a potential SEC championship, or even a run at the national championship.

However, the Cards collapsed with a Week 14 loss to the Texas Longhorns. This loss meant that the Aggies would not compete for the SEC Championship. They then lost their first round playoff game against the Miami Hurricanes.

The future is bright at Texas A&M, and the program will look to build on its success in the 2026 season. Expect Elko to work some magic and keep them in contention for another shot at the national championship.
