NBA fans were confused on Wednesday when they saw Karl-Anthony Towns, who sat out the New York Knicks' game against the Philadelphia 76ers with a sprained thumb, change gear for the Philadelphia Eagles at halftime.
The star center rocked an Eagles hoodie on the bench, but emerged from the locker room wearing a Knicks jacket.

While New York sports fans would like to believe he changed out of respect for the Eagles' division rival New York Giants, that was not the case. Towns took to social media to explain that he had sweat stains and didn't want them on camera.
“Sweat stains ain't ESPN,” Towns wrote. “I had to pull out another gear!”
Towns doesn't seem to be giving up his Eagles fandom anytime soon, even if it rubs New York fans the wrong way. Maybe he can redeem himself by leading the Knicks to a championship.
