Taylen Kinney is Kentucky's # 1 perspective and his hiring continues to make headlines. On Thursday and Friday, he made an official visit to Louisville, one of the programs that actively recruits him.
The cardinals made Kinney one of his main priorities in the class of 2026, with Pat Kelsey and his staff followed him closely last year. They have kept the tabs at stops that include the elite program of the extension, the 3SSB All-American Camp and the Shootout Kabc Titans.
The coveted dotted guard posed a photo with Kelsey, and the time went on social media.
Kinney has been one of the most sought after perspectives across the country. It is the number 16 of the perspective and point number 4 of its class, according to the 247 SPORTS COMPOSITE.
Kinney had a 2024-25 season dominant with Rod Wave Elite in the elite league of the extension, reaching 20.1 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 robberies per game. It fired 55.6%, including 33.3% of the 3-point range, establishing itself as one of the best performers in the league.
At the ADIDAS 3SSB circuit, it continued to stun, with an average of 20.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg and 4.3 APG with Select Wildcat.
Louisville has already expanded the offers to 23 players not committed to the class of 2026, preparing -in front of the calendar.
The program made three commitments to Class 2025: Four-Star Forward Mouhamed Camara and Sananda Fru, and five star guard Mikel Brown Jr.
Louisville may have been the first program to visit Taylen Kinney, but there are other schools that also try to have it.
Another ACC program, UNC, is a strong contestant for the guard's commitment. Kinney mentioned the Tar heels as a possible destination after receiving a school offer in February.
The Hubert Davis team has also started their work in the class of 2026, establishing the foundations of more than ten goals that are mainly five -star perspectives.
