LeBron James isn’t quick to talk about Patrick Mahomes and Co. ahead of the divisional battle against the Chargers

LA Lakers star LeBron James has participated in Week 15 of the ongoing NFL season. The four-time NBA champion analyzed the matchups and offered his predictions as part of his ongoing partnership with DraftKings.

One of the games that attracts the most attention this week is the Kansas City Chiefs vs. LA Chargers clash at Arrowhead Stadium at 1pm ET. On Saturday, James shared his pick for the outcome of the crucial AFC West matchup.

“We’ve all seen what bosses have been able to do over the last decade or a little less than a decade,” James he said “But frankly, I don’t think they’ve got it. They don’t have it right now.

“Obviously, you never count on (Patrick) Mahomes. You never count on (Travis) Kelce. You never count on this team, but the Chargers are playing really good football. If they want to take that next step, winning a game like this on the road this late in the season is going to be big for them.”

LeBron James expects the game to be closely contested, but he believes the Chargers can pull off a win and complete a season sweep of the Chiefs.

The Chargers won the first meeting of the season 27-21 in Week 1 in São Paulo, Brazil. They’ve built on that momentum to a 9-4 record, edging closer to back-to-back playoff appearances.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, have struggled all season and are 6-7. They now face the very real possibility of missing the playoffs if they lose to the Chargers on Sunday.

Kansas City’s impressive nine-game AFC West title streak ended last week with a 20-10 loss to the Houston Texans. With four games remaining, the team that had won the last seven conference title games and three straight Super Bowls could now be staring at the postseason from home.
