A legendary fighter is now on hiatus, a major promoter has revealed. It has been announced on social media.
Brett Lauderdale has announced on social media amid speculation that Nick Gage is currently on hiatus from free wrestling. He said he was initially going to hold off on making any public updates for a while, but after seeing fans speculating online, he decided to pull out.

“I'd hold off on any kind of public update, but I've seen people speculating, so I'll give a brief update… Nick Gage will not be attending any shows for the foreseeable future. He is currently undergoing treatment (and has been for several weeks) and plans to remain indefinitely.”
Nick Gage is one of the most legendary hardcore fighters of all time. He has also made a name for himself in his genre, having become the first man to win all three major American Deathmatch tournaments, including the CZW, IWA Mid-South, and GCW tournaments. Gage was the biggest star in CZW for a long time, before switching it up and appearing in other companies, including GCW more recently
The star hasn't had the easiest time recently. Last year he went to rehab in October 2024, which the star himself commented on. Now, after last fighting in September, the star has opted to step away from wrestling once again.
Sportskeeda wishes Nick Gage a speedy recovery.
