Minecraft has many different items that can be used to progress in the game, especially in the survival mode. There are tools such as the Pickora or the hoe that help construction and agriculture, as well as weapons and armor for combat. However, certain articles, such as the poisonous potato and the cauldron, feel underused. The first is not for any purpose, while the second has very little purpose in the game.
A Minecraft Player, u/migthtelectric581, suggested that the cauldron is more useful allowing to cook stews and soups. Currently, this article can only be used to store water and lava, which is not very useful. Most builders add this item to its base for aesthetic purposes. Although it is not entirely useless, it could be more practical.
The original poster suggested a new mechanic to allow players to place a cauldron full of water on the top of a campfire, and then add crops such as potatoes, carrots and pumpkins. After a while they could get a decent amount of stew or soup. These foods could be differentiated by giving a special effect, such as the regeneration of faster health bars.
U/Azarna said that when they started playing the game, they assumed that the potions could be done in a cauldron. This makes sense, as the great metal ones are excellent to add various ingredients and then obtain a good potion supply.
The original poster responded that Mojang studies should be considered a potion brewery with a cauldron, as it would make the most convenient process. A combustion bar could be added to the campfire with a right click and having its effect lasting a few minutes before leaving.
U/basically disagreed with the idea, saying that Minecraft items should have more uses. U/INTERSTBOI suggested that the original poster would try the Mod Potluck by Eightstedsquare. However, these modifications are only available for the Java edition.
Mojang studies should focus on improving the items existing in the game instead of adding more with minimal use. For example, copper was added years ago and has almost no use. Luckily the The next copper age The play drop will finally make the metal useful with armor, tools and weapons.
Developers should do the same with other items, such as Calafons and crops. The more mechanical has Minecraft, the more attractive it becomes.
