Nascar's driver, Benny Chastain, dies of 82 years old, tributes can be submitted to the veteran legend


The Veteran in the series of the Nascar and Arca Menards series, Benny Chastain, has died at the age of 82. The news of his death on February 9, 2025 was found with a tribute departure from the racing community and the world's fans. Many went to social media to remember their contributions to car racing and their presence in the ARCA garage.

Chastain, who competed in the Ark Menards series for two decades, began his racing career at a relatively late age, making his Ark Menards debuted in 2004 in South Boston Speedway when he was 55. Despite not competing full -time in the outdoor series of the 2006 season, he remained a facility in ARCA, gaining a reputation as a dedicated and passionate driver. Its best end in the series was 15th in Daytona in 2020.

His passage was first informed on social media, by Jared Haas. Brought to his account x and wrote,

“Ex -Ark Conductor Benny Chastain has died. He was 82 years old. To rip.”

Fan messages began to pour -shortly after. Some praised Benny as a loved personality in the ark garage, while others fondly remembered their interactions with him. Zachary Tankle, a CRA de Vore Late Model 2019 sports champion, paid tribute to Chastain, remembering his brief interactions with him,

In 2004, Chastain debuted in his Ark Menards series, finishing 22nd. His career came in 2020 in Daytona, where he was 15th. Despite starting his racing career at the age of 55, he remained competitor in sports, making his final start in Daytona by 2022 at the age of 79, ending 25th while driving for fast track races.


A look back: When Benny Chastain led to end the hunger

In 2011, Benny Chastain participated in a special initiative with his car racing dreams. At the age of 68, he joined Aarp and the Drive to End Final Hunger (DTEH) campaign to raise awareness of senior hunger while competing in the Arca Racing series.

Chastain, driving the number 75 Bob Schacht Motorsports Arca Car, associated with AARP to compete in eight races during the season. The sponsorship agreement aimed to highlight the problem of hunger among the north -older Americans while supporting Chastain's passion for racing. The campaign included collection of funds, awareness programs and subsidy initiatives to combat hunger throughout the country.

Chastain's car to end Hunger Car had a special freedom, highlighting the campaign logos. The initiative encouraged fans and corporations to contribute through a text program to donate and activations of the track.
