New Guest At Kaifeng (Universal Oven)

Once the tragedy of Heaven Has No Pier in Where Winds Meet is over, it's time to begin New guest in Kaifengof the history of the universal oven. This is the second chapter of the game and will eventually bring the player to Kaifeng as they finally begin to explore the jianghu. You'll start out, just you, your horse Clip-Clop, and a boatman, as you make your way to this new region, to start over.

It's an interesting quest, full of scammers, collectibles and even a few laughs. Your wandering will make a few new friends, and maybe even enemies, as The new guest in Kaifeng starts at Where Winds Meet.

New Kaifeng Guest Tutorial for Where Winds Meet (Universal Furnace Chapter)

You can join the new guest Where Winds Meet in Kaifeng at any time after completing Heaven Has No Pier. You might want to do a lot of exploring, grinding other side quests and maybe pick up the healer i Erudite previous race though. This is partly due to the quest that comes after the new guest in Kaifeng requires you to be one Level 41.

Steps to complete the new guest in Kaifeng

Go to the dock, leave the dock, go to the Wheawind Bazaar, find Wuque, repel the gang
Follow Yingying, wait at the Yingying Inn, buy 20 bags of grain from the traveling merchant, find the Dao Lord Follower with Old Jin
Follow Old Jin, Redeem the Bartender's Farewell Tears, Return to Old Jin, Follow the Girl to the Playhouse

1) Go to the dock, leave the dock, go to the Wheawind Bazaar, find Wuque, repel the gang

When you're ready to start a new guest at Kaifeng on Where Winds Meet, go talk to the ferry. You can track this quest from your quest menu, so they'll be incredibly easy to spot. Your character will briefly recount the tragedy of Heaven's Pier and mourn its loss. He was a big fan of the area.

When you get to the Kaifeng area, just leave the dockand mount your horse. It's kind of a long trip to the Wheawind Bazaar, but you're free to explore and pick up items, or maybe pick decks if you see any. You can also interact with the merchant on the road exiting the dock area to purchase a variety of internal art manuals.

Just before entering the Wheawind Bazaar, you can also find a walkingwhich will give you the map of the region. Do your best to interact with them. You can spot them by the bonfire icon as you approach Wheawind Bazaar.

Once you get to Wheawind Bazaar, you'll be approached by someone who wants to sell you a turtle, but it's only a few coins, so you might as well buy it. I don't think you can avoid this encounter. Now ours Wuque's quest begins properly in Where the Winds Meet. Head to the quest marker when you're ready.

A scene will play where a woman will claim that she is in charge of a “Wujue” treasure basin and before she can sell it, an old man will claim something similar. You can just put a coin in its basin and more will populate it. It turns out that it is very popular to claim to be or be related to the Eastern Wuque Ember.

When given a choice, Inspect the treasure basinand you'll find out it's all another scam. In the confusion, your bag is stolen by the first woman and you then have to fight the Hulking Man and his allies. They are not strong so just defeat them.

Luckily, everything works out fine, or so it seems. The next part of New Guest in Kaifeng features the cat Meow meow arrives, who seems to be the cat of one of the four big shopkeepers in Weiyang City. Then a girl appears, though she was only pretending to be a shopkeeper.

this woman Yingyinghe offers to help you, now that you have no money. Canonically, you still have your money, but for the purposes of this story, you're broke in Where Winds Meet. Follow Yingyingand while on the road you will learn that iron coins (Tang Coins) are prohibited and anyone caught with them is punished.

She'll ask a question or two along the way, like Do you think the gold making ship really exists?and even if you don't have to answer, you might as well. You two will sit down to lunch at an inn, and she will try to get you to share the jar of wine you bring, but you can't.

Yingying leaves and says she'll be back soon, and now you have to wait for Yingying. You can hear some conversations while you're here, but if you try to leave, the innkeeper will say you can't leave without paying. Walk out the back door for this installment of Where Winds Meet Kaifeng's new guest, and you'll be stopped.

You can anyone Wait a little longer or go find the waiter. Yingying won't come back, so go find the bartender in the backyard. Turns out Yingying screwed us with the bill and we have to go make some money. This means we are leaving behind the precious family wine, as collateral.

First, you'll have to debate the bartender. You will use Yapping, and he uses Wild Boasts. This is to explain the madness you are in. Win, and he'll leave you the wine as collateral.

Yingying's letter left us a tip that we can buy cheap grain bags and sell them to Lord Dao for profit, so the bill can be paid. Go do according to the instructions, and buy 20 bags of grain from the traveling merchantfollowing the search icon. While doing this, a familiar rogue from Heaven's Pier appears: Old Jin! He basically blackmails you into doing things his way during this Where the Winds Meet quest.

For a 10% cut, he'll help you find the follower of Lord Dao, so you can sell the grain and make a profitso follow him. The “follower of Lord Dao” is a girl, though. At the end you will try to sell to him and you will have a ten second timer keep digging through the coin bag and i recommend you do.

You will find a letter from Yingying in the bag, and we will also find Tang Coins in the bag! We were incredibly close to getting ripped off in this Where the Winds Meet mission.

3) Follow old man Jin, redeem the waiter's tears, return to old man Jin, follow the girl to the playroom

It looks like our source can't be trusted as the person they sent us to tried to scam us. So for now we follow old Jin. It will explain the Tang Coin situation and why they cannot be used here. He buys the grain from the merchant he suggested and then leaves retrieve the farewell tears (wine) from the waiter. Unfortunately, he has already sold it.

However, at least it gives you the money that was spent on it, so it's not a total loss. If we're trying to find the person who bought it, we'll have to go there Recreation room. Back to Old Jinand talk to the girl. After the scene, you can donate Old Jin 10%, 50% or 100% of the profits you made. I chose to give him 50% and he went north.

We are dating Little Fu now, who will take us Recreation room in Where Winds Meet, or at least that's what we hope. You will enter Kaifeng proper through the South Gate and see a scene full of hustle and bustle. She will make sure to show you the real kaifengnot what visitors see.

This On Winds Meet scene is heartbreaking, and the real Kaifeng is filled with poor, destitute homeless people just trying to get by. We even get to see the woman who scammed us earlier, and the Hulking Man. He steals a bag of coins that looks very familiar.

4) Enter the city with Little Fu, resist the government soldiers, hide from the government soldiers with Big Zhao, exit with Big Zhao

Now that you've seen the real Kaifeng at Where Winds Meet, it's time to go to town with Little Fu. The Hulking Man holding our bag apparently had a bag full of Tang coins, when the guards stopped him. You will have the opportunity to do so Retrieve the coin bag or observe in silence. we chose observe quietlyand he will try to accuse you when he sees you in the crowd.

The guards decide to search you for this part of Where Winds Meet New Guest in Kaifeng as well, and unfortunately, you're still carrying the scammed bag of coins from earlier. This means they will find you Tang Coins. Instead of giving in, it's time to do it resist the government soldiers! They aren't particularly strong, so just take them down.

A long cutscene will play as you and your new friends escape. Crouch and follow Big Zhaoand watch the next scene play. Finally, leave with Big Zhaoand that closes this quest in Where the Winds Meet.
