NFL analyst points to Caleb Williams' key change under Ben Johnson's Bears

Caleb Williams led the Chicago Bears to a 24-20 win over the New York Giants in Week 10 on Sunday. It was Chicago's sixth win of the season, and put them in the mix for the NFC North title.

On Tuesday, analyst and former NFL defensive end Leger Douzable pointed out a key change Bears coach Ben Johnson has made to the team.

“I think the biggest thing when you look at the Bears has been that they're finding ways to win,” Douzable said on “NFL on CBS.” “Last year, they found new and inventive ways to lose games and I think that's the biggest thing when you're talking about culture change, right? With Ben Johnson coming in, bringing that mentality that we're never going to get out, we're not going to blink.”

Douzable also praised Bears QB Williams.

“I love that Caleb Williams is not coming back to USC,” Douzable said. “When they need him in the fourth quarter, to play loose, he was able to do that. … He's not trying to be Superman unless the Bears need him to be Superman, and that's growth.”

Williams had a mixed rookie year, leading the Bears to a 5-12 record last season. However, Johnson, who is in his first year as Chicago's coach, seems to have found a way to get the best out of the QB.

Williams has posted 2,136 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, four interceptions and three rushing scores this season, leading Chicago to a 6-3 record.
