Former Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is a name to “keep in mind” amid Las Vegas Raiders head coaching search, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

One name I would also keep in mind as it relates to @Raiders: Pete Carroll.
Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel and Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen are expected to draw interest from the Raiders, per Good sir.
The Raiders announced the firing of Antonio Pierce on Sunday. Las Vegas missed the playoffs in Pierce's first full season as a head coach.
Carroll was fired after 14 seasons with the Seahawks following ESPN's 2023 campaign Adam Schefter reported in late December that Carroll wanted to return to the NFL in 2025.
The Raiders may have to compete with other teams for these candidates. He sprang allegedly he is also receiving interest from teams including the New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, New England Patriots and Chicago Bears.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, meanwhile, have already requested permission to speak with Cohen, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
Carroll, who will turn 74 at the start of the 2025 season, has previously “expressed interest” in the Bears' head coaching vacancy, according to Schefter.
Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reported on Dec. 26 that the Bears were “interested in sitting down and talking to Carroll about their opening.”
Although the Bears have allegedly requested multiple interviews with a number of head coaching candidates, Carroll's name has yet to come up among them.
USC, where Carroll coached from 2001 to 2009, meanwhile, is currently preparing to hire a new general manager in the “coming weeks,” according to Ryan Kartje of the Los Angeles Times.
Carroll coached USC to two national championships during his tenure from 2001-2009, though one of those titles later vacated. There is previously stated intends to teach at USC this spring.
It will likely be up to general manager Tom Telesco to decide whether to bring Carroll in for an interview in Las Vegas. Telesco is expected to remain with the Raiders after Pierce's firing, per Good sir.
