Oba Femi made his shocking comeback tonight. He has set his sights on a major WWE championship.
Oba Femi has been one of the most dominant forces in NXT over the past few weeks. Shortly after winning the Breakout Tournament in 2023, he won the US Championship. He had a dominant reign as champion. After losing the title, he went on to capture the NXT Championship. Oba looked unstoppable as the ultimate champion of the black and silver brand. However, that all changed at No Mercy 2025 when Ricky Saints challenged him for the title. The former AEW star was able to dethrone Oba and win the NXT title. The Ruler has not been seen on television since.
Tonight on NXT, Ricky Saints defended his NXT title in a brutal Last Man Standing Match against Trick Williams. After the former AEW star won the match, Oba's music played and he walked out, hinting that he had his eyes on the NXT title.

Oba Femi has been the top star in NXT for the past few years. He has dominated the ring and accomplished everything there is to do on the black and silver brand. So it's only a matter of time before he gets called up to the main roster.
Speaking for himself Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said that Oba's time in NXT is over and the time is right for him to move to the main roster..
“I can tell you this. Oba has done a great job in NXT. And if it's time to move on, it's the right time. If he stays in NXT, what else can Oba Femi do to him? He's dominated in NXT. He really has,” he said. “I think Oba can definitely make a big impact on the main roster right now… I agree he's done everything he could do in NXT. I think it's time to pull the trigger. I really do,” he added.
It will be interesting to see when Oba gets called up to the main roster.
