Apex Legends Season 27 wild card has received some healthy changes. Wildcards will remain active even without an event in progress for casual game mode. The first wave of active cards is:

Gameplay update

Enemy highlights

  • Enemy highlights will no longer trigger on a team unless only one member remains.
  • Enemy highlights will no longer trigger if players are manually bled.
  • Enemy bounce duration reduced from 5 seconds to 2.5 seconds.

Shield cells

  • Cargo capacity increased from 12 to 15.
  • Cell spawn rate increased and ammo spawn rate decreased.

Gold level loot

  • Digital Threat Optics returns as a rare loot item. Can be equipped with shotguns, SMGs and pistols.

Wild card balance

  • Reduced the recharge rate of the shield on the Recharger wildcard when sprinting.
  • Reduced initial speed gain when using the Wallrun wildcard.

The enemy highlight on removal reduction is one of the biggest changes that can help teams survive longer on the battlefield and engage in more shots. For limiting the timer at the highlighted momentsolo survivors will potentially have a better chance of surviving and retrieving the team.

Also, the developers are tweaking some of the wildcards balance the set of boosters while increasing the amount of shield cells one can carry. This was a major issue as the mode does not contain large healing items like batteries for a full shield recharge.
