Many fans criticized Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur after 10-7 home loss Philadelphia Eagles on November 10. Some even called for his dismissal. LaFleur blamed his offense for making too many mistakes, calling his performance “very hectic.” However, some analysts stressed that he stubbornly continues to call plays despite the offensive spread.
Former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman spoke about the criticism the coach received Wednesday. He suggested LaFleur deserves criticism, but the results the Packers have produced under him can't be ignored.
Thanks for sending!
“There are people, Green Bay Packers fans, calling for Matt LaFleur's job,” Sherman said via “The Richard Sherman Podcast.” “That's crazy. Is he above criticism? Nobody. Can you criticize him. Was the play spectacular throughout this game? No. They probably ran the ball more than they should have.

“The Eagles defensive line had answers. They were strong. Nakobe Dean was coming through. They probably should have gone in a different direction, but say you want the head coach fired? 'That same head coach has taken you to numerous NFC championship games, tremendous success.'

Sherman added that firing LeFleur won't help the team.
“The winning record speaks for itself. I keep hearing, '10 wins, 10 wins' every year for the Green Bay Packers, and you're thinking, 'Hey, if we got rid of Matt LaFleur, would things get better?' You’ve lost your mind,” Sherman said.
“Is he perfect? No. No coordinator, no coach is. To say, 'Hey, Matt LaFleur is somehow letting this quarterback down, letting Jordan Love down,' that's an absurd thought process.”
The Packers' Week 11 win over the Giants came with such a setback Josh Jacobs left in the second quarter with a bruised knee. Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur discussed his status Wednesday.
“The plan is to get him healthy enough to go. It's really day-to-day,” LeFleur told reporters.
Jacobs has posted 648 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns this season, but a battered offensive line has limited his efficiency. However, PFSN's impact metric ranks it 12th with a score of 81.9, up from last year's 80.6.
If Jacobs is not cleared to play on Sunday, Emanuel Wilsonwho posted 40 yards and a touchdown last week, will lead the backfield.
