Bengaluru Bulls coach BC Ramesh has broken his silence in the sudden disappearance of Captain Ankush Rathee from Pro Kabaddi 2025 team. Ankush captured the Bulls in his first two games of the season, but then his name has disappeared from seven and even on the SUn list.
The Bulls appointed Yogesh Dahiya as a new captain before the game against Patna Pirates on September 7. Under the new captain, the Bulls finally won their three-game streak with a 38-30 victory over the pirates at Pro Kabaddi 2025. Dahiya ran the team from the front by scoring three points.
At the press conference after the match, Bengaluru coach BC Ramesh was asked about the state of Ankush Ratheeafter its sudden absence. Ramesh refused to reveal the reason for his absence, but said he would speak later.
“No, I don't mean anything right now. We'll see later. The team is playing well. So I'll focus on the squad I have,” Ramesh respond.
Later at the press conference, coach BC Ramesh added that the new Yogesh Dahiya pattern seems to be a lucky leader for the team now.
“Yogesh seems to be a lucky captain for us,” added Bengaluru coach.
It is rare to see that any franchise changes its captain so soon in a Pro Kabaddi tournament. It is left to see what happened between Captain Ankush Rathee and the direction of Bengaluru Bulls field.
Patna pirates They are the only franchise without earnings at Pro Kabaddi 2025 from September 6. The three times champions have completed a hat-trick of defeats this season after the loss of 30-38 at the hands of the Bengaluru Bulls.
When asked about the reason for his team's bad performance, he said Anup Kumar, Patna Pirates coach, at the press conference:
“The way we have played in the games so far, the team does not play as a unit. Neither the Raiders nor the defenders. I expect a lot of Maninder Singh and Ayan to attack. Ayan has marked today, but the score has no value because he did not score at the moment we needed more.”
It is pertinent to keep in mind that Ayan scored 10 points against the Bengaluru Bulls. However, coach Anup Kumar said that a real game winner is the one who sets points when the team needs it the most.
Pirates will play their next game against the old champions Straw On September 8. It will be interesting to see if the Franco Ang Kumar finally formed its first victory.
