A beloved performer has made it clear that there is no way he would be returning to WWE right now and that he was interested in pursuing projects outside of the wrestling industry. Braun Strowman refuted rumors of his potential return to his old stomping grounds, where he made a name for himself for years.
The Monster Among Men was immensely successful in the global juggernaut for years and remained incredibly popular with fans even when its booking was underwhelming. Strowman had a very successful first run with WWE from 2013 to 2021, where he went from being a member of the Wyatt Family to being a legitimate main eventer.
However, his second run from 2022 to earlier this year was disappointing as he dealt with back-to-back injuries and start-and-stop spurts. Since then, the former Universal Champion has done just that spread his wings and is trying to act.
In a recent chat with In the Kliq podcast, Braun Strowman addresses rumors about his potential return to WWE. The 42-year-old star clarified that he was focused on the various acting and other opportunities that came his way.
“Don't believe the things you hear on those floor sheets, because none of them are true. You'll see me when I feel like letting myself be seen when it comes to that. But right now I'm very focused on the food space. I've got four movies I'm attached to next year. I'm in talks with four or five more TV shows.” (H/T – Ringside News)
Elsewhere on the podcast, Strowman said that while he missed wrestling, he didn't want to rush his return to the ring. The Monster Among Men explained that he rarely had time off to deal with his injuries, and now that he was in control of his schedule, he wanted to make sure his body had enough time to recover.
“Don't get me wrong, I still miss being in the ring, and these things are very capable of passing out when I want to. But I'm also enjoying a little break, because my body is starting to feel a little bit normal. I'm healing some of these injuries that bothered me for years and stuff, because I never really had time to fully recover.”
We will have to see if wwe never knock on Strowman's door again, as there's no denying that he's still a formidable draw among the masses.
