Scott McLaughlin recently opened the new leadership in Team Penske. He talked about how the team needs “some time” to adjust -after the 500th Indianapolis controversy.
Team Penske announced a new leadership within the organization, and Jonathan says he took over as president of the Indycar and Travis Law team as director of the competition. While talking to Bob Pockrass, an insider Motorsports, Scott McLaughlin opened on how things had been established with the new leadership. Said (via Fox Sports):
“I would not want to be with another team in terms of when we are right now. With resources and people, I think we will be fine. It will happen some time, but I think that wants to happen and we will happen.”
The lead change was announced after two of the three-team's Thinking cars were disqualified after the qualifying session at Indianapolis 500 this year, as they failed to pass the post-qualified inspection. This caused the team to separate with their main individuals such as Ron Ruzewski, Tim Cindric and Kyle Moyer.
