'This is pure evil' 'Fraud': Fans blast NFL over controversial decision in Amon-Ra St. Brown


Amon-Ra St. Brown has been disciplined by the NFL for what happened during the Detroit Lions vs. Washington Commanders game in Week 11.

According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the league fined the Lions wide receiver for unnecessary roughness on the field. St. Brown has gotten into an altercation with Commanders DL Daron Payne.

“NFL fined Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown $12,172 for unnecessary roughness – punching the facemask of Daron Payne, who then retaliated by punching St. Brown, earning an ejection and one-game suspension,” Pelissero tweeted.

NFL fans on social media called for the league's decision on the Amon-Ra St. incident. Brown-Daron Payne.

In the second quarter of the match, AMon-Ra St. Brown got physical with Daron. The lions the receiver ended up punching Payne in the face before an officer broke up the altercation. A few plays later, after Jahmyr Gibbs scored a 13-yard touchdown, the commanders DL threw a punch at St. Brown.

Payne was ejected from the game and earned a one-game suspension by the NFL.

On Wednesday's episode of his podcast, Amon-Ra St. Brown talked about the fight between himself and Daron Payne.

“Payne comes out and hits me, I'm like what the hell?” said St. Brown. “So I hit him and he started talking shit. Then I hit him again, accidentally hit him in the face.

“I didn't even want to hit him in the face. I just wanted to like push him, and I accidentally hit him in the face. At that point I was like shit, I shouldn't have done that.”

The game ended with the Lions taking a 44-22 victory over the Commanders. St. Brown tallied 58 yards and a touchdown receiving for his team.
