Tom Brady had a unique comparison in his interview with Washington Commanders star player Jayden Daniels.
Pa Let's go! podcast (3:56 mark), Brady compared Daniels' composure in Washington and Tigers Woods when he won his first Masters in 1997 at just 22 years old:
“How do we measure confidence? How do we measure poise? Because some people have it. Time isn't too big for them. They look at the odds and think, 'Man, this is going to be amazing when we go out and beat these guys.' And some guys look at the problem and say, 'Oh, I don't want to mess it up.' And I think that the fear of failure, which is instilled in many people at the beginning of their life, prevents them from having the last confidence that they have in themselves, which allows them to grow to what they can rookie, they have stability and that confidence. Rounding out the wild cards, Daniels had 268 passing yards and touchdowns to lead Washington past the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Commanders' first win since 2005. Then in the divisional stage, against one of the NFL's best teams. , Daniels threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns to knock off the Detroit Lions.
Now, Daniels is just the fifth rookie quarterback to lead a team to a championship game. If they can take down the Philadelphia Eagles, they will become the first Super Bowl starter.
