The PGA Tour is in Mexico this weekend for the World Championship of Technology 2025. The sixth event in the 2025 FedExCup Fall Series will begin at the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos on Thursday, November 6. The event will feature a stacked field of 120 players headlined by PGA Tour stars, including reigning Tour champion Michael Brennan.
Michael Brennanwho won the Bank of Utah Championship at Ivins in his pro debut, will play with 28 other Tour winners from the past two seasons, including Rafael Campos, Nick Dunlap, Ben Griffin and Emiliano Grillo. Despite the strong field, South Africa's Garrick Higgo has surged to the top of the PGA Tour Power Rankings for the latest edition of the World Technology Championship.
For the uninitiated, the South African golfer won the Corales Puntacana Championship earlier this season. However, he fell after the triumph, missing cuts in three of seven outings. The 26-year-old found form again at the Procore Championship, where he finished T7. He followed that up with a solo second-place finish at the Sanderson Farms Championship and a T4 at the Baycurrent Classic. higgo is among the favorites to take the win in the $6,000,000 event.
American Pierceson Coody tests the leader in the power rankings. Coming off a T3 finish at the Bank of Utah Championship, the 25-year-old will be eager to record his first PGA Tour victory this weekend. It is pertinent to note that he had earned his 2026 PGA Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour and is in the safe zone of the FedExCup.
Rico Hoey rounds out the top three in the power rankings after closing out his 2026 Tour card with a runner-up finish at the Bank of Utah Championship. Having scored three top 10s in his last four starts, the Filipino is an in-form name to watch this weekend in Los Cabos. Ben GriffinThorbjørn Olesen and Max Greyserman join the list of final players.
Unlike the PGA Tour Power Rankings, Ben Griffin tops the list of odds for the 2025 World Tech Championship, according to Fanatics Sportsbook. The 29-year-old, who made his Ryder Cup debut in Bethpage, enters the upcoming event at odds of 10-1. He is closely followed by US Open champion JJ Spaun, who starts in Los Cabos at odds of 12-1.
Max Greyserman, Michael Thorbjornsen, Rico Hoey and Si Woo Kim share third place on the event's odds list at 22-1 odds each. Interestingly, the top of the power rankings Garrick Higgo is chasing them at odds of 25-1. Kevin Yu (28-1), Wyndham Clark (28-1), Michael Brennan (30-1) and Thorbjorn Olesen (30-1) are other big names to watch this weekend.
