John Cena’s father doesn’t want Gunther to be his son’s last opponent

Gunther returned to the ring to compete in The Last Time is Now tournament. The Ring General has had a dominant performance so far and is the favorite to win the tournament. However, John Cena’s father doesn’t want that to happen.

Talking about it All Axxess podcast, John Cena’s father said he doesn’t want Gunther to be his son’s final opponent because the General Ring does not need friction.

“Well, it certainly wouldn’t be Gunther, that’s for sure. I don’t think it’s a good move. I don’t think the fans would enjoy that move. Me, personally, Gunther doesn’t need the rub. I’m not a fan, by the way, of having to push someone over the top on your way out. It’s not supposed to be written anywhere in pro wrestling,” he said. (H/T: fighter)

It remains to be seen who will win The Last Time is Now tournament.
