The action continues in Group E of the Rankings for the 2026 FIFA World Cup com Turkey i Bulgaria horns at the Bursa Atatürk Stadium on Saturday. Having lost their last three meetings since May 2012, Aleksandar Dimitrov's men will go into the weekend looking to overcome the hosts and break their losing streak in the qualifiers.
Turkiye produced another dominant team display last time out as they cruised to a 4-1 win over Georgia at the Kocaeli Stadium on 14 October.
Earlier, Vincenzo Montella's side made it two wins from their opening three games in Group E, with a 6-0 rout of Spain on September 7 sandwiched between the two wins.
Turkiye have collected nine points from their four qualifying matches so far to sit second in Group E, three points behind Spain, who have won each of their four matches.
On the other hand, four games into a dismal qualifying campaign, Bulgaria are still looking for their first taste of victory as they sit bottom of Group E.
Dimitrov's men have lost each of their four matches, conceding an astonishing 16 goals while scoring just once at the opposite end of the pitch.
While Bulgaria will be looking to finish the campaign strongly, next up is the challenge of an opposition side who have won each of their last three meetings, scoring 12 goals and keeping two clean sheets since a 3-1 defeat in August 2005.
Turkey will be keen to face an out-of-form Bulgaria side as they look to move level with Spain at the top of the group standings.
Bulgaria's form in the qualifiers has been nothing to write home about, and we expect Montella's men to extend their recent dominance in this match.
prediction: Turkey 3-0 Bulgaria
Tip 1: Result – Turkey wins
Tip 2: Over 2.5 goals – Yes (There have been at least three goals scored in eight of Turkiye's last nine games)
Tip 3: Over 4.5 cards – No (there have also been under five bookings in five of the hosts' last six outings)
