UFC Insider says Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall Bout greater than potential Islam Makhaachev vs. ILIA Topuria Superfight

The combat of unification of the title between the UFC's heavy weight champion, Jon Jones and the provisional title holder, Tom Aspinall is one of the most anticipated parties in 2025. While many fans believe that the struggle between Makhaachev Islam and Ilia Topuria could achieve similar commercial success, the former UFC Sonnen fighter has expressed a different opinion.

In a recent publication by Instagram, the former UFC's two -pesos challenge and two -pesos analyst shared their reflections on the subject. He concluded that, in the current circumstances, the struggle between Makhaachev and Topuria cannot coincide with the size and importance of the confrontation of Jones vs aspinall.

“ILIA VS. Islam right now, and I know there are some n ** Huggers who only think it is the biggest struggle, it is not! The biggest struggle in 2025 will be Jones vs. Aspinall. So any other struggle you are doing, you have to overcome this struggle. There is no reason to fight if it cannot be number one.”

Although there is great interest in Fan by Jones vs aspinall, the struggle has not materialized so far. While Jones has changed his position to face as Aspinall several times, the UFC head Dana White He reiterated that the struggle will end. That said, negotiations have not reached a stage where the promotion can announce the date.

In the meantime, Topuria recently abandoned the feather weight title to start its light title. However, he said that Makhaachev has refused to give him an immediate title at 155 pounds.

Chael Sonnen explains how UFC can raise the next struggle of Islam Makhachev to the level of Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall

ILIA Topuria and ex -lightcad Charles Oliveira I have been campaigning for a shot against the title Islam Makhachev. However, Chael Sonnen believes that the UFC will be able to sell much more easily their potential fights against Makhaachev if they were facing.

In the video mentioned, Sonnen explained:

“ You would have a legitimate shot to defeat the night of the business, Aspinall-Jones, if you got the one to struggle first.In order not to say, there is only one uncle in the world and it is on the island of struggle and wants to see Oliveira fighting Islam. Literally, no one wants to fight. But it would be really different if Charles was baptized first in Ilia Topuria.

While Makhaachev has not recently commented on its potential opponent, Topuria and Oliveira have been wrapped in an online rivalry.
