Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has introduced a new tournament to promote sport in his state. He has launched the MLA sports competition at different assemblies in the state of Uttarakhand to promote sports among young people.

Uttarakhand recently played at the Mega Event of the 2025 National Games, where athletes from different parts of India competed in various sports. Shortly afterwards, State Sports Minister Rekha Arya announced that his team plans to prepare at least 40 athletes to represent the nation at the 2036 Olympic Games.

Now, Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched the MLA sports competition. The purpose of this tournament is to provide the upcoming athletes the opportunity to show their talent. It will give them the opportunity to compete with the best talents in the state.

“Growing electronic culture (electronic culture) among young people should be changed to culture P (patio culture),” said CM Dhami as he had a meeting of review of the change in the game of the Youth Welfare Department at the Secretariat on April 17.

The chief minister has introduced this scheme because he believes that youth should be connected to sports locally. In addition, it will also help maximize the use of sports teams in the state.

“ For the physical and mental development of youth, they should be trained in adventure sports activities, prior training in the army reception, paramilitary and police forces.For their best future, advice centers must be set up and should be guided by education, employment and other aspects. Regular awareness programs must be carried out to prevent addiction to drug addiction. ''

Dhami concluded by saying that, along with sports programs, local cultural events should also take place in multipurpose centers. He also directed the secretary to regularly review the schemes of gaming changes.
