Atlético de Madrid Star Julian Alvarez has refused to rule out a move to Barcelona next summer The Argentine star has refused to rule out an exit in the face of interest from PSG.

Speaking to L'Equipe, Alvarez was asked if he considered interest from Barcelona and PSG. The striker has admitted that he has noticed the rumors on social networks and also the news in the media.

However, the former Manchester City star quickly dismissed suggestions he was weighing up his options, saying he was focused on Atletico Madrid. He added that transfer discussions will take place once the season is over and said (via Tribal Football):

“Do I plan to play for Barcelona or PSG? Honestly, I don't know. I see what people are saying on social networks. In Spain there is a lot of talk about me and Barcelona. At the moment, I am focused on Atlético and we will review at the end of the season.”

Alvarez was also asked about his future beIN Sportswhen the Argentine said it was not the time to think about an exit. He was determined to improve and help his team win games and said:

“I'm very relaxed. People are always talking; there were a lot of rumors last year as well. But honestly, this is just the beginning. My goal is to improve every day, win with my teammates here. That's all on my mind.”

Julian Alvarez joined Atletico Madrid in 2024, signing a six-year contract with the club. He has four years left on his contract at the end of the season, leaving the Spanish giants in control of his situation and fee.

What Julian has achieved is amazing. A player with the ability to move all over the pitch, he shows a great level of sacrifice and talent.”

Julián Álvarez was linked with a move to Camp Nou in 2024, but the Catalan side failed to reach an agreement with Manchester City. They are looking for a long-term replacement Robert Lewandowski and sees the Argentine as a perfect fit.
