Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart He was forced to leave match 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals after suffering a lower body injury on Thursday.
The incident took place in the first period when Reinhart made a pass near the neutral zone and was cut by Sebastian Aha of Carolina Hurricanes. The center came in contact with the left leg of Reinhart that caused it to fall. Reinhart seemed to have pain as he headed for the bench.
Florida announced that Sam Reinhart would not return to the rest of the game while no penalty was made on the play.
The panthers now have a 3-1 lead over hurricanes after two periods. Sam Bennett, Matthew tkachuk And Gustav's rate scored in Florida.
