“You can always fly a guy”

The main selector of India, Act AgarkarHe explained the reasoning of Abhimanyu Easwaran's omission of the next two -party test series against the West Indies, from October 2 in Ahmedabad.

Agarkar further discussed the inclusion of Devdutt Padikkalwhich recently impressed in the first unofficial test while playing India A, scoring 150 against Australia in Lucknow. Agarkar said:

“We feel that Devdutt Padikkal offers a little more at this time. He was in the Testing Template in Australia and played Dharamsala against England, where he scored about fifty. He has also shown a decent form with India A.”

Devdutt Padikkal has played in two tests, scoring 90 runs to an average of 30.00, including about fifty.
